In her spare time Sundae enjoys listening and playing music. She is inspired by the stories song lyrics tell. She understands that our lives are unpredictable and that we all encounter events that alter our path in life. Sundae believes every situation in life is an opportunity to rise above the devastation and realize the tragic event or "STORM" you have encountered does not define you. One of her favorite songs is "The Impossible Dream" written by Mitch Leigh/Joe Darion. Sundae has dedicated her life to service and making a difference. She believes we are all placed on this earth for a reason. Sundae has experienced many challenges in her own life leading to the establishment of this nonprofit with her family. The challenges each individual encounters can be overwhelming, exhausting, downright devastating, or even a blessing. Sundae understands that we cannot dwell on the items we cannot fix, change, nor erase from our pasts; but we can all learn from those experiences and keep moving forward. Each day, we continue to strive to reach our goals and get back on our feet. When devastation occurs in someone’s life it can be extremely overwhelming picking up the pieces. We must move forward looking at each day as steps to getting back on our feet or setting small goals to reach a large goal. It will take time. If we focus on the goal which seems so far away, we get overwhelmed and want to give up. If we break it down into small achievements, we will get to the outcome in time. What we learn from these situations allows each of us to assist someone else when they are faced with a similar situation (paying it forward). Each day is a blessing and a new day to care and show love for one another. Sundae considers her mother her hero and enjoys spending as much time with her and her family as possible. Something quirky about Sundae is that she is always unexpected.
