THE STORM STORY

WE STAND FOR LIVES CHANGED

STORM was created with the focus of helping and empowering communities that have been affected by natural disasters and other unforeseen events.

Our goal is to maintain the lowest operating cost allowing us to provide the greatest assistance to individuals dealing with crisis.

Our unique story, approach, dedication and involvement in the community, and the collaboration to join forces with partners allows us to help others in need.

As a partner or volunteer, you can assist with meeting the needs of our communities throughout Texas and Louisiana. As a donor, you are given the opportunity to pinpoint where your donations are focused. The four categories you can personalize your donation to are: general fund; food insecurities; natural disasters; and personal assistance.

ABOUT OUR LOGO…

THE TREE

Although you see other logos with The Mighty Oak or Southern Oak Tree, the tree in the STORM logo is still thriving on our family farm in Southwest Louisiana. Oak trees, in general, are a symbol of strength, morale, resistance, and knowledge and ours is no different. For generations past, present and hopefully future, our tree will thrive and serve as a resting place, a talking place, a playing place, a swinging place, a place for memories, a place for good and bad times. As young girls, we would play for hours on barrels, swings, ropes, tires and always, under the tree. Our family has been through emotional, physical, mental, health, heartbreak, grief, and other personal struggles. Like the Oak, our roots are strong, our arms/branches intertwine, and we stick together to support one another.

OUR CORE VALUES

Our lives are unpredictable, and we all encounter events that alter our path in life. Sisters Take On Recovery Missions (STORM) is an organization created to help as many individuals as possible impacted by life altering events. We have walked in the shoes of many crises in life, and we understand what individuals are going through. Our goal is to give back and aid others through their crisis by collaborating with partners, communities, volunteers, and individual donations.

EMPOWERMENT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Sisters Take On Recovery Missions (STORM), is dedicated to helping the community recover and rebuild after a storm. Natural disasters can have devastating effects on individuals and families, and your commitment to providing support and encouragement is vital in these challenging times.

Our mission is to encourage people to stay strong and focused, as well as to promote independence for the long-term recovery of the community. Helping survivors regain their confidence and self-sufficiency can make a significant difference in their lives.

For those who are interested in helping disaster survivors and affected families, STORM offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the well-being and resilience of the community. Volunteering and providing assistance during times of crisis can be incredibly fulfilling and impactful.
